Our VIDEOS
AND AUDIOS ARE NOT
"ENTERTAINMENT". They are the stories -
the only documented "evidence" that we, as Survivors, have of the
events,
traumas and aftermaths of Sexual Abuse and Domestic Violence in their many forms. They are the
stories of what it means to live through the hell of another's sexual
"pleasure" or perceived "power and control".
Survivors'
Stories of Sexual Abuse
are not easy stories to hear. But, it's
the graphic nature of a Survivor's story that underscores the need to
be just as
compelling in confronting the
issue. So, at annieonymous.com, we do not
believe in mincing
words or obscuring the facts about Sexual Abuse.
The
words "Incest",
"Sexual Abuse", "Child Molestation", "Rape", "Child
Pornography" bother us too - but, more because of the stigmas
associated with them - and the fact that far too
many victims (SURVIVORS) of the many forms of Sexual Abuse suffer in
silence.
Therefore, our concerns are not about using "uncomfortable" words in
our campaigns and we prefer not to censor or edit Survivors' Stories
submitted to the public area of this site. Our
concerns are about the worldwide epidemic and long term (traumatizing)
physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual effects of Sexual Abuse.
When
you hear the personal stories, we believe you will better understand -
as one Survivor reminds us... "Sexual Abuse isn't just an event. It can
be life-altering."
